Bet you're excited to use your new DJI Osmo Pocket. Here's some guide for you in exploring this 3-axis stabilized handheld camera.
Camera
This tiny device can take still images with its 1/2.3-inch sensor, 80° FOV, and f/2.0 aperture at 12 MP with a pixel size of 1.55 μm. Of course, what DJI is mostly proud about is that it can record 4K/60fps video at 100 Mbps, slow motion video at 1080p/120fps 4x.
Make sure nothing is obstructing the gimbal while the DJI Osmo Pocket is turned on or while it is adjusting its angle.
Ventilation area
It is inevitable that the device will become hot especially when using in high resolution. If the DJI Osmo Pocket starts to overheat, it will shut down. Make sure not to touch this area as it will heat up.
Status LED
The DJI Osmo Pocket has blinking patterns that indicates warning, modes or charging status.
Warning status
1. Blinks red 3x quickly - battery level is very low (3%) and the device will shut down
2. Solid red - temperature is too high
3. Blinks yellow - no serial number
4. Solid yellow - device not activated

2. Blinks red slowly - recording video
3. Blinks green per second of the countdown - countdown function taking photos

Charging status
The DJI Osmo Pocket blinks green while turned off when charging:

2. Blinks green twice - 25 to 49% charge
3. Blinks green thrice - 50 to 74% charge
4. Blinks green 4x - 75 to 99% charge
5. Solid green for 6 seconds and turns off - 100% charge
Internal Microphones
Yes, this powered compact camera has two built-in microphones. Its audio quality is okay with noise reduction algorithm, so make sure not to block them while holding the device. The DJI Osmo Pocket also supports external microphone for higher quality recording, but an Osmo Pocket 3.5mm adapter is needed.
1. Beside the Status LED
2. Beside the USB-C Port
Purchase the 3.5mm adapter in DJI store to plug an external microphone for a higher quality audio:
Shutter Button
Its function is to take a photo or start/stop the video recording. When in Settings page, click the Shutter button to return directly to the Camera view.
Power Button
Use this button to turn on/off the device. When in Settings page, click the Power button to return to the previous page.
When in camera view:
1. click once to switch between Photo and Video modes
2. click twice to recenter the gimbal
3. click thrice to switch selfie mode and back.
MicroSD card slot
When there is a microSD card inserted in the DJI Osmo Pocket, the photos and videos are automatically saved in the microSD rather than on the plugged mobile device.
If you are not using the DJI Osmo Pocket, always put it inside its cover. The camera should face down when keeping the device.
The DJI Osmo Pocket is not water resistant but you can avail Osmo Pocket waterproof case from the DJI Store. Keep the device away from sand and dust to protect the sensors in the motors.
